This insurance, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy, provides coverage in cases of proven physical loss or damage to cargo due to external causes in an amount equal to the lesser of the cost of repair or replacement value per commercial invoice up to a maximum of the insured amount per shipment. The insurance applies only to containerized cargo (FCL's), with limited merchandise exclusions and some deductibles of $2,000 per incidence per container ($1,000 for automobiles), for a charge of $1.00 per $100 of the declared value of the cargo or commercial invoice value with a minimum premium of $50. For containerized cargo with declared value or commercial invoice up to $10,000, the deductible will be $500. Insurance coverage will be for the following identified risks: theft, vandalism, sinking, fire, explosion, war, civil unrest and disturbances. Deductibles do not apply to LCL.
